Who says Disney has to write all their songs to make their stuff enjoyable? Not all Disney things need ORIGINAL songs playing in their animated films and shows, but they can also use songs already recorded by artists heard on the radio before their films are even made, whether they are heard in the background or covered by new artists (providing they're good) or characters of the stuff.
Examples:
1. Lilo & Stitch films - all the songs by Elvis Presley
2. The Lion King - the Lion Sleeps Tonight
3. The Lion King: Timon and Pumbaa - the Lion Sleeps Tonight, Stand By Me and Yummy, Yummy, Yummy
4. A Goofy Movie - Stayin' Alive
5. All the songs played in An Extremely Goofy Movie (none of them were showtunes, they were all songs played on the radio)
6. All the songs played in Recess: School's Out (including Mikey's great cover of "Green Tambourine", RIP Robert Goulet)
7. Wreck-It Ralph - Celebration and Shut Up and Drive
8. Return to Never Land - Do You Believe in Magic? (sure, that's for the end credits, but it counts, doesn't it?)
9. Meet the Robinsons - Give Me the Simple Life
10. The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning - Jump in the Line (Shake Shake Senora)
11. Kim Possible - a cover of Celebration on one episode
12. the famous songs used in Chicken Little (of course, some were improperly used, and they could've done without the overused Everybody Dance Now, Wannabe, Runt's cover of Stayin' Alive, the cast's cover of Don't Go Breakin' My Heart or Runt's cover of Baby Now it's Too Late)
13. Gravity Falls - 9 to 5 (that's the only real radio song that show used, the others are just lame parodies. Okay, maybe the one in Dipper vs. Manliness wasn't so bad, but songs like Don't Start Unbelieving was just a weak parody of Don't Stop Believing. They used an actual song in the Halloween episode, so why not include the actual Don't Stop Believing? I think Gravity Falls should include more songs heard on the radio, mostly the oldies, instead of making up dumb parodies; same with Phineas & Ferb and Wander Over Yonder.)
I mean, even Pixar films include songs previously heard on the radio before their films are thought up and produced, mainly because Pixar doesn't believe in musicals.
This is all just my opinion. I just did this because I suspect the idea that people dislike non-Disney songs heard on the radio used in animated Disney stuff, and I'm doing this stamp for the people who DO approve of it, like myself.
I Own Nothing.
